Pumpkin day

Our family had a complete Halloween style weekend! It ended with the kids' annual Pumpkin Day party where we all carve pumpkins while we have a feast at the river! This year's theme for the pumpkin carving was "whatever makes you happy happy happy!" It was a beautiful fall day that ends the river season in the perfect way. Even the dogs all get to Come to the party!

Sleepy Hollow pillow done!

Ken decided that he wanted me to make a pillow for his embroidery, so I got a cool dark blue batik and simply framed the image.  I am on a roll with finishing projects this past six months, which makes me happy, happy, happy!  Tomorrow I am going to quilt one of the Halloween quilts I got ready last weekend while I was on a quilting retreat upstate.  That was a wonderful weekend!  I'll post pictures of that tomorrow.

Sleepy Hollow embroidery done

Today I finished this embroidery! Now I have to decide if I want it to be a pillow or put it in a frame. It took over 2 hours at my machine, and there were 54 thread changes but I spread it out over three nights so it went pretty fast!
