Snapping turtle alert!

I went outside this morning to feed my chickens and when I went to go back into the house, I saw this snapping turtle lumbering up the driveway!
The turtles usually come onto land to lay their eggs, so I guess she is looking for someplace to do that up by the woods.

My garden is coming in nicely!! String beans, zucchini, onions, tomatoes and lots of herbs to make tea and for cooking. I have eggplant, peppers, radishes, lettuce and spinach coming in again too.

Heirloom string beans that I grew in the coldframe and then transplanted. Can't wait to have some fresh food on the table. Not much going on here this weekend. Just planting, reading, sewing and hanging out. We had a bunch of people over for a BBQ Friday night, and that made the weekend seem even longer. Well, finally it will be June when I go to work. I cannot wait to be done with this year. Summer will be such a relief!!
